What a Wonderful Surprise!

Life is filled with wonder.

Last night I was inspired to take another route home. I figured I would get off at a particular stop to use the local Internet shop then catch another bus home from there.

Right in front of the Internet shop was this woman who looked very familiar. I walked into the shop then something told me to go back and speak to the woman. I realised she was an old friend I used to work with years ago in my early twenties. My first trip to America was actually with her and another friend. It was so wonderful to see her. I decided to stay and chat with her. It turned out she was waiting for the same bus that I intended to catch home.

We spent the bus journey catching up about our previous job and work colleagues and what we've both been up to. It's funny how at the time I had complained about the job and couldn't wait to leave, now all I remember about that particular job is fun and laughter.

Later at home when I was watching television I noticed a name that was the same surname as the other friend we'd been away to America with. I guess it was her way of connecting.

Speaking of which, three years ago I saw someone who reminded me of this other friend. A few days later I bumped into a guy who used to date my best friend at university. The guy he was with was no other than my friend's brother. It turned out the two guys were best friends. I asked my friend's brother to pass on my regards to his sister. Back to the friend I met last night, she only lives about two miles from me so I might see her again.

Thank you Universe for a wonderful surprise. I expect to experience lots more wonderful surprises every single day.
