I have a running joke with a friend who works in the library I go to. Every time he sees me he asks if I have some sweets as he knows that I like taking sweets to share with people I meet. Once when he asked me for some sweets I said to him, "What about you, haven't you got any sweets for me?
"I don't have any sweets to give you," he said. "With me, I'm all take, take, take."
We had a good laugh about that.
The funny thing is I don't mind my friend always expecting me to have sweets because it shows that he trusts that I have the resources to buy sweets to give him. I also find I'm more inclined to buy sweets as I know at least one person will appreciate them.
I see my True Self as the source of inexhaustible goodness that I can take from. Source can never be depleted. The more I take the more I have to share.
Every moment I am receiving and assimilating infinite light.
I'm all take, take, take and proud of it.
