On Being a Genius

At the end of the talent show, The X Factor, the two contestants with the lowest votes had to perform a final song. The judges then had to vote for who they wanted to leave the contest.

I found both performers were very good in their own right. However, when you compare the two one was more outstanding.

We are all geniuses in our own right and doing the best we can. The moment you start comparing yourself to someone else, you're bound to feel inadequate and insecure. Then you either look to a role model to emulate or to someone else to teach you how to be.

While there are people I admire and even find inspiring, I don't compare myself to anyone nor would I ever wish to be like anyone else.

I am very happy being the Genius in me.
